Hosting a festive Open Day, visitors from far and wide, as well as residents, saw this secure estate showing off despite the weather being a bit temperamental in true Cape Town Spring day tradition.
Guests and residents were greeted with a glass of bubbly and brunch was served buffet-style. The Clubhouse filled up quickly and people spilled out onto the veranda.
“We invited the Milnerton and Edgemead Bowling Clubs to officially open the new bowling green with a friendly, which made for a lively morning,” says Miguel Rodrigues, Director at Rabie. “By late morning the Clubhouse was abuzz! Spirits ran high as the crowd cheered for the Bokke during a very tense match against Australia, which was displayed on our big screen in the multi-purpose room and smaller screens in the Clubhouse.”
Hand massages and mini-pedis by the ladies of Amazi were welcome treats and a great place to meet new friends. “Visitors were given the full tour, from the brand-new Fitness Centre with indoor heated pool to furnished houses and cottages,” continues Rodrigues. “It’s the first time that we could put everything on display, presenting a full-bodied resort-like lifestyle.”
As afternoon approached, De Grendel wines were available for tasting and Bombay Sapphire Gin was a welcome refreshment. The festive spirit changed gears when the live music by Myles Wakeham started, with the sound of golden oldies blending with the incredible aroma of boerewors on the braai. “We are delighted that so many people came through today to experience the full extent of Burgundy Estate,” says Allen Usher, Managing Director of Property World, responsible for sales. “Our team conducted many estate and show house tours and we are just overwhelmed by the positive response to everything we have shown them.”
