We also spoke with Annemarie Le Roux to learn about her Oasis Life retirement at Burgundy Estate. Here’s what Annemarie had to say:
“Since joining Oasis Life I’ve joined so many activities, like jive dancing, bowling and water aerobics. I’ve even learned some new card games, how to play pool and throw darts. It’s been such a fun experience and I’ve enjoyed all the new connections I’ve made and am still making. I just love it here!
I enjoy socialising here. Everyone is so down to earth and I find all the organised and ad-hoc social events very valuable. I appreciate that I can have my personal space and then pop into the clubhouse with friends when I feel more social – it’s the best of both worlds.
I enjoy the nature on my doorstep and one of the reasons I chose Oasis Life was for the peace and quiet. When I first starting researching retirement living options in 2022, I was living alone in Tokai in the southern suburbs. One day when exploring the northern suburbs, I came across Oasis Life after visiting the nearby shopping centre and I instantly knew I wanted to be here.
The sense of community spirit was evident from that first day and when I moved in I immediately felt at home. Everyone here is friendly and kind. People are also very proactive when it comes to working alongside the management team to get things done for the community. One of our members had the idea to start a vegetable garden and today we have one!
Even the sales person I dealt with was friendly and kind – and so empathetic. It really made me feel safe and connected to everything from the get go. My advice to anyone looking to retire is to consider the Life Right model of retirement so you can enjoy your life, feel safe and secure, and spend your time on the moments that matter.”
